- The visatoazerbaijan.com portal accepts electronic visa applications only from citizens of countries included in the list of countries eligible for electronic visas approved by the Azerbaijani government. Electronic visas are issued solely for tourism purposes and are single-entry only;
- Foreign nationals with dual or multiple citizenships must indicate the nationality corresponding to the document they will present upon entry to Azerbaijan when applying for an e-visa. If the nationality on the visa differs from the nationality on the passport presented at entry, the visa will be considered invalid, and entry will be denied;
- It is recommended to apply for an electronic visa at least 3 business days before arrival in Azerbaijan (for a standard e-visa) or at least 5 hours before arrival (for an urgent e-visa). If applying for a visa upon arrival at the airport, there may be a need to wait for the issuance of the electronic visa;
- The validity of the travel document (passport) must exceed the expiration date of the electronic visa by at least 3 months;
- A standard electronic visa is issued within 3 business days, while an urgent electronic visa is issued within 5 hours. The e-visa allows a stay of up to 30 days within a 90-day period in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The e-visa is for single entry only;
- The start date of the standard e-visa is set at least 3 business days after the application date. The start date of the urgent e-visa is set from the moment it is issued;
- When applying for a visa, the applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, the correctness of the scanned copy of the passport’s photo page (the image must be clear and fully readable), and the correctness of payments made. If any of these conditions are not met, the visa may be denied;
- The applicant must enter their email address and mobile phone number correctly. Information regarding the acceptance of e-visa applications and payments, as well as notifications on the issuance or rejection of the e-visa, will be sent to the provided email address. In special cases, notifications may be sent via the mobile phone number;
- If incorrect or incomplete information is provided, if there are any doubts about the accuracy of the information, if the passport photo is of poor quality or unreadable, or if payments are not made correctly, the e-visa application will be rejected. The application is accepted, and the review process begins only after successful payment is made. Applications without payment will not be processed;
- The passport photo must be uploaded only after ensuring it is not blurry and all details are fully readable. If the photo is of poor quality and unreadable, the application may be rejected;
- If the Azerbaijani government rejects the issuance of the electronic visa, the reasons for the rejection may not be provided. In this case, the visa fee paid for the electronic visa are non-refundable;
- If the electronic visa is rejected, foreign nationals and stateless persons have the right to reapply for a visa through the relevant diplomatic mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- The electronic visa is not affixed to the travel document. The electronic visa must be printed by the foreign national and presented with the travel document when crossing the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The visa can also be presented electronically;
- A person who has entered Azerbaijan on an electronic visa must not stay in the country for more than 30 days from the date of issuance of the e-visa. The stay must not exceed the expiration date of the visa;
- If a person travels to Azerbaijan on an electronic visa and stays in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days (or changes their residence within the country), they must apply for registration with the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan without paying any state fee. This registration must be done through the management of temporary residence (hotel, sanatorium, rest house, resort), or by apartment owners or other residence providers;
- If the electronic visa is not used within its validity period, it is considered expired;
- The electronic visa is intended for single entry only. Re-entry with the same visa is not allowed. In this case, a new visa must be obtained;
- The visatoazerbaijan.com portal is not the official visa portal of the Republic of Azerbaijan and provides agency services to foreign nationals for the acceptance of visa applications and support in obtaining visas. The portal ensures the collection and storage of personal data for the purpose of electronic visa applications in a secure environment in accordance with the rules for the protection of confidential information and assumes responsibility for the protection of this data.
